family fun day
In 2022, we were able to host Family Fun Day for the first time in three years! With 22 trucks going into the villages, we made room for everyone. There were over 2,500 people building community, connecting with our social staff and playing games with their loved ones at the campus. This special event took a lot of team effort, with all our staff playing different roles to make it happen!
“Family Fun Day was important for us because many families suffered from COVID over the last few years, and many lost hope. Now that Cambodia is fully open, and things have gotten better we wanted to celebrate with families! We wanted to bring joy with an event where they can just release all their worries. My favorite part was the puppet show where we could display the gospel and bring hope to every situation. ” - Natascha, Education Leader
community campus
A place where kids and teenagers can have a good time away from their problems at home, and connect with loving adults that care about them through various activities. We expanded our Community Campus and introduced a few new offers for children and teenagers who are visiting our Campus.
CLIMBING WALL
Our climbing wall was opened as an activity to provide a physical challenge while also teaching kids to overcome fear and keep trying even though it's difficult.
BISTRO
Our Bistro opened in July 2022, a place where everyone can come and enjoy a beverage and hang out with each other. Here, our teenage assistants can acquire basic skills related to taking orders, making drinks, operating a coffee machine, and serving customers.
BICYCLE REPAIR SHOP
The Bicycle Repair Shop is a place where we provide bicycle maintenance to kids, teens and villagers around the community. We teach the youth how to fix and properly maintain bicycles to ensure that they last longer. Through these activities, we can stay connected to our community.
we gave away more than
3,968,000 Liters
of free clean drinking water
Mr. Smey, a villager, shared with us that he has five families living together in his home. He has been coming to take clean water at ICF for 1.5 years.
“The water tastes delicious. This helps me so much to reduce the expense of buying other clean water and also gives me good health. Thank you for this great tasting, clean, hygienic, and cost-free water station.”
Education Sponsorship Program
Our vision is to empower children from 1 year to young adults, through education. We strongly believe that Cambodia's young generation can reverse poverty and corruption in the long run through education and values such as honesty, fairness and equality for all.
With the closure of schools during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are once again faced with an education crisis in Cambodia. Many children skipped two years of school and moved to the next grade without ever having made up the school they missed. Since the beginning of 2022, we have been working on a new Education Program for children and teenagers to fill this big void.
-
The Scholarship Program gives 38 students, grades 7 - 12 the chance to go to a private school. During weekly mentoring meetings, our students receive the help and advice they need to continue their school career, despite poverty and the problems that come with it.
We work closely with the parents, the school and the different ICF leaders to give each student the help they need.
-
Having spent two years tutoring in the villages, we were able to move our Study Group Project to our campus early last year to start the After School Program, where 120 registered children, grades 1 -6, from the village are provided with additional help after their morning public school classes.
Children receive Khmer and math tutoring as well as music, creative arts, sports, educational play and ethics classes. We are committed to promoting education as a fun experience and to creating a fear-free learning environment where children are encouraged to ask questions and ask for help.
In addition to our three staff members, we have empowered 27 teenagers to be tutors. We support them with a small allowance so that they can continue their own education. This allowance allows our tutors to participate in private tutoring for English and computer classes, or purchase school supplies.
-
The earlier a child is nurtured, the better his or her chances are in the future!
Since 2022, our daycare has been available for 22 Staff children from 1 -5 years old.
By offering this service, our staff can work towards our vision to "Empower Cambodia" knowing that their children will be able to grow up in a friendly, loving environment.
To support not only the youngest children from our staff, we also provide school age children the opportunity to go to a private school.
Additionally, the staff children in primary school can participate in our after-school program with homework supervision, games, sports, creative, music, and bible classes.
OUR CURRENT programs:
CHILD SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
Our vision is to make a child’s home feel like home.
If children are given an opportunity to grow up in a healthy, loving environment, they will be the ones who bring change to their country. In villages and rural areas, children are often neglected by their parents, both physically and emotionally. Our social staff can help the families understand how important it is to take care of their children's needs. This is why we invest in parents, to ensure that the children have a better start in life.
-
We believe that families can be restored through faith in God. Our Social Staff encourages them to speak openly about their problems and burdens because this is not something people usually do in Cambodia.
-
We value seeing that the parents invest time into their family and into their children's lives. Parents don't always care about their kids. We show them how important it is to have time together to make the family healthy.
-
Sometimes, there is a lack of understanding about the importance of education. We emphasize to families and children that school is essential.
Many families have to deal with violence and abuse. This is a significant topic for our Family Care team, as it aims to educate and teach the families about social behavior and how to tread each other.

Bunleap’s Story
Food Sponsorship
In 2022 we introduced our Nutrition Support Program. Through this program, our goal is to prevent and treat malnutrition and support families going through hardship to cover for their basic nutrition needs.
Focus is on educating the importance of a healthy lifestyle. leading to self-responsibility and independence.
Health Sponsorship
Over the last year, we shifted our focus of the health sponsorship away from individual medical treatments to health education. This means we equip our Social Staff with the necessary knowledge they need to invest in the Families and the community.
Truck Sponsorship
We were able to send trucks out to the different villages to pick up kids and bring them to our Campus. We were so excited to see how many kids were waiting for the Truck to come.
